Install this cleat support to reinforce the backside of the cleat.
This will prevent the carriage bolts from pulling through the wood.
The holes on one side are slotted to accommodate different cleat sizes.
It is made from hot dipped galvanized 1/4" steel and can be used with
lumber from 1-1/2" to 2-1/2" thick and 8", 10", or 12" high.
The square holes are made for 1/2" carriage bolts.
